The Advanced Robotics in Manufacturing, or ARM, Institute last week released its new Education & Workforce Development Project Call. This latest call seeks ARM Institute Members to apply for and undergo the ARM Endorsement evaluation process for manufacturing training programs that teach robotics skills at no cost.

The ARM Institute said its Endorsement Program, powered by RoboticsCareer.org, recognizes the nation’s most effective training programs for robotics careers in manufacturing.

The ARM Endorsement badge helps to identify organizations whose training programs have proven effective. This helps to differentiate them from the 16,700+ training programs listed on RoboticsCareer.org. This Project Call enables ARM members to apply for endorsement at no cost.

While the project call is publicly available, only ARM members can submit a proposal. The institute said its endorsement recognizes effective training programs at all levels. This includes high school programs, micro-credentials, four-year degrees, and others. The Institute also noted that many educational institutions may qualify for free or low-cost membership in its non-profit membership category.

Endorsement enables programs to connect with trainees

The ARM Institute said its endorsement allows training programs to connect with an engaged audience of training and job seekers. It can help programs to increase visibility and enrollment in their programs.

Programs that the ARM Institute evaluates and selects to receive endorsement are featured at the top of search results for training programs on RoboticsCareer.org. These programs also participate in outreach including inclusion in blog posts and can benefit from search engine optimization (SEO) applied to their pages, said the organization.

Contacts from the ARM Endorsement program are invited to join the institute’s Endorsement Council, which shares best practices and provides key input into the program.

In addition, students who graduate from ARM-endorsed training programs can add the Endorsement badge to their job seeker profiles upon completion of the program. This gives them an advantage when employers search the talent database, said the institute.

Programs are evaluated by industry subject matter experts in the areas of:

  • Relevance to the industry
  • Effective curriculum
  • Training efficiency
  • Impact of the program
  • Program sustainability
  • Transportability
  • Benefits of ARM Institute endorsement

About the ARM Institute and RoboticsCareer.org

Founded in 2017, the ARM Institute has partnered with industry, academia, and government to make robotics, autonomy, and artificial intelligence more accessible to U.S. manufacturers of all sizes. The Pittsburgh-based Manufacturing Innovation Institute (MII) also works on workforce development, strengthening global economic competitiveness, and improving national security and resilience.

More than 119,000 visitors used RoboticsCareer.org in 2025 to connect to jobs, training, and other robotics resources for manufacturing. Based on current usage numbers, the ARM Institute said it expects that within the next few years, the online resource will be accessed by over 500,000 users, help fill over 10,000 jobs, and benefit the training of over 10,000 future roboticists.
