Allient Inc. is a global designer and manufacturer of specialty motion, controls, and power products and solutions for targeted industries and applications. The company yesterday said it will show its latest generation of drives engineered specifically for automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots, or AGVs and AMRs, at LogiMAT 2026.

“We are excited to showcase our latest drive solutions at LogiMAT 2026 and highlight how our integrated motor and gearbox technologies support the evolving demands of intralogistics automation,” stated Helmut Pirthauer, vice president and group president at Allient. “These systems are engineered to deliver high performance, compact design, and seamless integration for AGVs and AMRs, helping our customers advance next-generation mobile robotics.”

Founded in 1962 as Allied Motion, Allient develops and manufactures technologies for industries including medical, life sciences, aerospace, defense, industrial automation, robotics, semi-conductor, transportation, agriculture, construction, and facility infrastructure.

Mobile robot products to see at LogiMAT 2026

At LogiMAT next week in Stuttgart, Germany, Allient will show its drive solutions for AGVs and AMRs. These systems combine advanced motors and gearboxes designed for seamless wheel hub integration, compact form factors, direct wheel connection, and efficient vehicle architectures, it explained.

The AGV and AMR gearboxes are integrated into Allient’s modular servo motor system through direct mounting, which it said delivers highly efficient, application-optimized drive units for battery-powered autonomous vehicles.

The company also plans to demonstrate its KinetiMax high power-density motor series in AGV and AMR wheel drives, offering high torque density, compact design, and robust performance for next-generation mobile robots.

Iván Hernández Dalas: Physical Intelligence open-sources Pi0 robotics foundation model

Physical Intelligence, the San Francisco-based startup that has raised more than $400 million , has open-sourced its Pi0 robotic foundation model. Pi0 was introduced a few months ago and can be tuned to a range of tasks, including folding laundry, cleaning a table, scooping coffee beans, and more. Physical Intelligence has released the code and weights for Pi0 as part of its experimental openpi repository on GitHub. It also provides checkpoints for a few “simple tasks” on available platforms such as ALOHA and DROID, example code to run inference on real-world and simulated robot platforms, and the code for fine-tuning the base π0 model for your own tasks and platforms. The company said between 1-20 hours of data was sufficient to tune Pi0 to a variety of tasks in its own experiments.
